Over the last several years, particularly during and in the aftermath of the COVID virus, the number of people seeking counseling services due to affective struggles has increased dramatically.
As the level of stressors intensifies, so does the challenge to regulate and express our feelings in healthy ways. Complicating this matter further is the increasingly widespread acceptance of aggression as a form of resolve.
In this virtual training, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 27, you will explore the dynamics associated with the regulation of affect. Included will be methods of affective recognition, stress management strategies, healthy forms of expressing feelings, and the “art” of self-care.
You will: develop increased knowledge and skills pertaining to emotional regulation; build greater confidence in working with individuals struggling to manage and express their feelings; and gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics associated with emotional discord.
(6 approved Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Licensed Master Social Worker continuing education hours.)
Register here by October 20.
