This virtual training from 12:30 to 3:10 p.m. November 17 will give participants an important understanding of attending to the mind-body connection when managing depression through incorporating basic yoga philosophy and practices. 

Participants will learn practical ways to incorporate basic yoga postures, pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation into psychotherapy sessions for clients struggling with depression. In this whole-person holistic approach, participants will comprehend how yoga can support clients with accessing their emotions, how to self-regulate and begin to feel empowered in managing the depression they struggle with. 

(2.5 approved Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, Licensed Creative Arts Therapist, Psychoanalysts, and Psychologist continuing education contact hours)
