This three-house course will be held in Dryden, N.Y., at Tompkins Cortland Community College on April 5 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.  Boundary violations have the power to negatively impact therapeutic relationships, and can lead to ethical violations and possible professional ramifications for counselors. This training will help you understand the ethical responsibilities of your professional role in relation to boundaries with clients. The training will explore and consider various professional codes of conduct and give you the tools you need to better define your own professional boundaries. Instructors will focus on identifying and understanding areas of strength and weakness to better protect clients and improve the helping profession. Attendees will receive three continuing education hours. PEF titles who could benefit from the course include Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists, Licensed Mental Health Counselors, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, and Licensed Master Social Workers.
