This virtual workshop, from 9 a.m. to Noon December 9, focuses on clinical practice for clinicians working with transgender people who have trauma experiences in their histories and/or whose understanding of their gender has coincided with a trauma experience.

Approaches are based on foundations of gender-affirming care and will include conducting a trauma-informed assessment, discussing adverse experiences with clients and other providers, and exploring potential physical and emotional impacts of trauma experiences with clients.

For the best experience, participants should already be familiar with general concepts related to gender identity, trauma, and foundations of gender-affirming care.

(3 approved Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Mental Health Counselor, and Psychologist continuing education hours).

Register here by December 1.

If you are enrolled and then unable to attend, contact PSWP customer service at PSWPRegistration@albany.edu immediately or no later than three days prior to the delivery date to allow a person on the waitlist a chance to attend.
